Start mission while near first waypoint, but don't fly back to homepoint first!

I asked this before, years ago. I'm curious why the drone is flying to it's home location (even if it's 100m from the ground) prior to moving to the first waypoint.

I don't know why I feel I could do a better path to the first waypoint, I wish the drone will not go back to homepoint when I press START button. I wish I could manually fly near the first waypoint, increasing progressively the altitude while going further away, than the standard path .. losing a minute going up and than go straight to the first waypoint another minute or so.

Is this possible ? I don't know why it goes back to takeoff location (it doesn't change altitude, it remains where I manually climb it, but it goes back to take of location as you see here)

PS. In my previous post regarding the same issue you told me that not everyone has a clear takeoff area, IMO nobody should fly if from the takeoff location you can't see the drone while flying (I don't see my drone anymore after ~800m but there is nothing between me and the drone). I don't ask to make the automated takeoff toolpath diagonally to the first waypoint, I just ask to skip going first to takeoff location and than to the first waypoint

Be sure that you have not selected a different starting point.

Aslo, you should not be manually flying up. Just hit the start button and allow it to take off. Manually starting is a great way to mess up the waypoint syncing.

Thank's Zane for the tip with Movable Homepoint, indeed is a nice feature, could be useful sometimes, but most of my missions are on unpopulated areas, no roads, or very few roads. I also did some countryside mapping, but I would not have the guts to move around on the streets because the signal could be a problem when houses and buildings are around, I always fly from an area where I can see the aircraft all the time (even if after 1.6km I can't see it anymore) at least I know there is nothing between me and the drone.

A feature like I described bellow (I hope I was clear enough) would be even better than movable points as the time needed to takeoff and reach the start point, and also the time needed to land is reduced, on multi-battery missions this could mean alot. I hope the gif is clear enough, you can see I was manually flying the drone back, but while doing this the altitude is constantly lowered.

If I move to a new point in a mission, to land the drone quicker and not lose time while flying back. Can I continue the mission and takeoff from that new point, even if it's at a different altitude ? Will the photos be processed correctly even if the takeoff location of the second / third / fourth flight/battery is different (different altitude levels) ?
