Flight Rotated images

I am currently using the latest version of Map Pilot Pro with a DJI Phantom 4 Pro and I am having an issue with the UAV taking rotated images. For some reason when the drone starts a flight line it lines up with the flight line direction but then as it progresses down the flight line it starts to rotate. I cannot figure out what is causing this issue? I have attached a screen shot.

Hmmm. That sounds odd. If you are not touching the sticks it shouldn't be doing that. If there is a little bit of yaw that is occurring it could be accumulated error throughout the flight. This is something in the DJI flight controller that cannot be fixed by us. The fix is to the bottom of the Settings screen and enable Advanced Settings. Then select Straight Corners. This will make it so it does a full stop at the corners. This slows down the flight but it resets the yaw for every pass.

Would it help you diagnose the issue if I send over the flight logs? Also, I added a screen shot of the issue below.

Try it with the Straight Corners option. This is something that has always happened with the Phantom 4 Pro using the curved corners.

So you previously went into the Advanced Settings and changed that? The default setting is 'Curved'.

I am looking at your log files and it does not look like straight corners is being used.

You were correct. Looks like changing the setting to straight corners with the project I flew today worked! No more image rotations! However, I am seeing a new issue that I have not seen before on this new flight. As the drone is flying, it will randomly slow down, stop for a second and resume back up to normal flying speed. It seemed to be happen between 20 and 45 seconds at a time. Any idea what could be causing this issue?

That is likely it slowing down at terrain aware waypoints. The straight corners mode means that it stops (or nearly stops) at each waypoint.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this as it uses more battery time per flight? Or fix the rotating image issue the the curved corners option turned on? Are these bugs that can be submitted?

Those are the two modes that can be programmed and the aircraft flies according to how the flight controller is programmed. There isn't really anything to do. The P4P has more yaw issues than the newer aircraft.

Do you know if Map Pilot Pro will be supporting the Mavic 3? Do you recommend this new drone for mapping purposes and do think it will address the issues I am having with my Phantom 4 Pro V2?
