By default, Maps Made Easy trims off the jagged edges of the stitched output. If you would like to manage this trimming yourself you can follow the instructions here:

If a map is distorted it means that not enough overlap was used to render the model sufficiently. This can almost always be fixed by using at least 80/80 overlap.
