Any update on porting RTK - Custom NTRIP for the P4RTK?

Thanks!

This has been added and will be part of the next release (5.4.9).

Great News!!! The lack of NTrip was the main reason for using less MapPilot than I wanted to :-)

I'll test it as soon as possible.

I did not test the feature yet but please make an option for "preferred RTK connections" where we can store one or two presets, to avoid to enter the needed info info every time we need to use Ntrip, for instance available from MapPilot settings or so. Once we get into the app, we only have to choose a preset from a menu in RTK panel or so and connect to Ntrip. That's more or less the way that DJI Pilot works.

However, of course, I'm talking without test your implementation first. I'am, very happy that you included this much needed feature for RTK able UAV's because in areas with good RTK Cors/Ntrip coverage we can dispense completly the use of DJI basestation (so much less weight to carry).

Cheers

Hi Zane

That's why I came here to comment :-)

I've downloaded the new version yesterday and saw the mention to the new feature. I'm very excited to test this as soon as I can. It has been raining a lot here but as soon as the weather conditions will allow it, I'll be testing this new and long waited RTK feature.

Best regards

I've also been keeping a lookout for 5.4.9 in anticipation.

Thanks for getting this in. Will be trying it out soon.

Rain here too for now...

I've already tried to connect P4RTK to MP and all went well. I had the UAV in the balcony so I was not able to get an RTK Fix but Ntrip did connect and was transmitting. The Antenna Height was also correctly read which show us that it will probably work. However there's a probable bug with the mounting point which seems to be easy to solve. If we enter our data in the custom network settings MP retains all the information for later use (which acts as a sort of preset and it's great) unless the mounting point which always return to SIO5_RCTM3. If possible, make it retain the latest mounting point entered. I also feel that the RTK floating window needs a close button. If we start the connection it just stays there and the only way to make it go is by hitting "Cancel". This can be misunderstood as cancelling the connection. I also think that the panel is too thin. There are a few things that are cut from view to the right side of it. Beyond that, even before using it in real world, it seems to be working!

Cheers

We are doing another quick release to add the Remote ID stuff that is now required to use the Air 2S and will try to get some of these changes in. Thank you for the feedback.

Hi Zane

Today I was able to fly with MP and P4RTK.

I've sent you a few thoughts, bugs and suggestions for the mapping@dronesmadeeasy.com email. I hope you get it.

The main thing that I'm missing are SDT values which are absent in the RTK panel.

Best regards.
