When that icon turns orange that means there is an error.

Are you getting any other error messages?
Can you provide a screenshot so we can see what you are seeing?
Hi. I am a complete beginner with MPP.
I have a Mavic 2 Pro and use a an Android 13 on an fully updated Redmi Note 10 Pro.
Flying with DJI Go 4 is ok, at my attempt with MPP I have 15 satellites.
When trying to start on a test flight with MPP everything looks ok except for a warning sign at the aircraft symbol which leads to an aircraft error sign without any indication of what the error consists of.
Where should I start to search? Any assistance is appreciated.

Also, make sure all other drone related apps are FULLY closed.
Thanks. I will make new tests.
But the Aircraft Error box vas empty apart from the Done and Clear texts.
That means there were no errors.
I can connect to drone ...dji Air 2s....and have my mission all set, and select Launch, but see the statement...Spot Check Mission is not compatible with virtual control....I experimenting and beginning learn at a flat city park....what should I be looking at for drone settings and mission planning to avoid errors and messages?
Dan: That isn't really related to the original question but the best way to get started is by using the default settings. Spot type missions are for doing something very specific (not general purpose mapping). Start with the normal missions and work up from there. If you wanted to do Spot missions you would need waypoint hardware to do it anyway.
Ok. So there were no errors! :-)
Fine.
Next stupid question: How do I start the drone and get it on its mission with MPP? E.g. where is the Start/Launch button? On the DJI Go 4 it is simple, but now I am lost again.

First you upload the flight plan and then hit Start. You can see it in action here:
