Map Pilot Pro is a professional-grade mobile mapping app designed for drone pilots. The app allows users to plan and execute drone flights for aerial mapping and surveying applications.
This walkthrough assumes that you already have the device connected to the remote and everything powered up. Open the DJI app to make sure that everything is in working order. Close it before opening Map Pilot Pro.
The app enables users to create and customize flight plans, including defining the area to be mapped, specifying the flight altitude and overlap, and setting the camera parameters. The flight plans can be saved and reused for future missions, saving time and effort in planning.
Once the flight plan is created, the app guides the drone along the predefined path, taking pictures at regular intervals to capture high-resolution images of the area. The app also provides real-time monitoring of the flight, including telemetry data, battery life, and GPS signal strength.
The captured images can be processed using Maps Made Easy's cloud-based photogrammetry software to generate high-quality 2D and 3D maps, point clouds, and digital elevation models (DEMs). The software also includes tools for data analysis and visualization, allowing users to extract valuable insights and information from the captured data.
Map Pilot Pro is compatible with a range of drone models, including DJI and Autel models, and can be used in a variety of industries, such as agriculture, construction, mining, and environmental management.
