DJI Mini 3 & Samsung s23 ultra

I have downloaded and installed  the 'e' APK on my S23 Ultra, and I still can't get Map Pilot Pro to find the controller (RC N1). Is the problem my version of Android (13). Do I need to revert to android 11, and do you know if the S23 Ultra will crack if I devolve?

We can't really recommend whether to do that or not. It sounds like you have already read all of this:

Make sure the RC and aircraft firmware versions are correct (at least the shown values).

I would imagine that DJI will update the SDK to work with newer versions of Android at some point. They really only made it to work on their devices at this point.

Nice. Good to see what we have been hearing in print. The stuff in GitHub is USUALLY true.

Zane, the 152e release shows an access denied error when trying to download it. Can you check the file permissions?

Sorry, try that again. It wasn't ticked as being publicly available yet.

Gave it a shot and it looks like the code to abort the mission after detecting Mini 3 (and Pro) is still present. Double checked in the settings and I am on build 071820231.

Make sure your firmware is the same as what is recommended in the list. It has been updated with this SDK version.

Sorry. There is still an issue with it. We are working to fix it. Please delete the version you have. We hope to have something out this afternoon.

Apparently things were not as fixed as we had hoped. More testing is needed. We hope to have something out tomorrow.

Question: has this been resolved (i.e. does S23 Ultra running Android 13 now work for Mini 3 and/or Mini 3 Pro)?

It seems to be mostly working for me on my S10e running Android 13. Download the latest APK from the website and try it out.

Please verify all of the firmware versions. Post the screenshot of your firmware versions page in the DJI app. Also, please ensure that everything works with the DJI app and that the DJI app is fully closed when using Map Pilot Pro.

Downloaded new APK. It works! There are some annoying warnings which I will more thoroughly comment on in the next couple of days.

I got a warning as the flight plan was uploading that the flight elevation was exceeding the maximum allowable height for the drone.

My flight plan was a grid pattern at 112 ft AGL, 80% overlap front and side, using terrain following. Haven't tried anything else yet. First shot.

..also having issue in PIX4D with camera optimization. May be related to rolling shutter settings. Will reprocess and see if I can clear that issue.

I have downloaded and installed the 1.6.10e build to my Samsung S23 ultra. Flight plan entry and execution seem to work ok, but photos are not being recorded to the SD card.

Card has been reformatted. I can record to it from DJI Fly.

What gives?

The issue that was causing all the problems with the Mini 3 was in our checking that the image destination as set properly. We took that out because DJI apparently didn't add it to that aircraft and it was causing the app to crash when we did that check. Since we can't check it you need to make sure the image destination is set to be SD card on your own. Also, you need to make sure the SD card is freshly formatted in the DJI app.

Downloaded 1.7.0e version to my Samsung S23 ultra. As with the last few revisions, it is linking with my controller OK, and driving the flight correctly. However, it only takes one photograph (on takeoff). The camera is not triggered for the rest of the flight.

Dennis: I don't think the issue you are seeing is related to it being the Mini 3. Please try doing a very basic mission with no options first. 60 meters. 75% overlap. Normal mission type. No Terrain Awareness. Make sure it isn't windy at all. Try a different location too.

For some reason it isn't registering the transitions between waypoints so it doesn't enter the state that makes it trigger the camera.
