Map Trimming

I'm new here and still working things out.
I've carried out 3 missions over the same area to begin creating a location map timeline.
I've used my Emlid RS2 to set some GCP's and am impressed so far on how the GCP processing has nicely realigned the images, they overlay near perfectly.

I have a question about Map trimming.
In the map trimming article (https://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/218234603-Map-Trimming), It states:

Imagine all of the image locations as nails hammered into a board and our automatic trimming area as a rubber band that gets placed around the outside of the nails.

I have the map trimming checkbox ticked (default) on the config page before processing, but after processing my maps still have very jagged edges. Whats the reason for this? It defintely doesn't look like it was trimmed around the outer nail points.

I also wanted to know how to trim on a location map to neaten it up and overlayer mulitple maps side by side and then found this post (https://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/6357284262292-Trimming-on-location-maps?input_string=Map%20Trimming). I too would like to see this implemented.

That detail about the trimming is not accurate anymore. We will change that. The trimming is now a concave hull. This has been changed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

The trimming polygon is calculated using average spacing and height and camera FOV. It might be a little oversized for your map area but the automated trimming is intended to remove the far out areas that are prone to high error. It looks like the sides of your most recent map got trimmed but not the tops. This is not uncommon.

From the Map Trimming article it shows that you can manually trim the areas you don't want using the Polygon Tool and the switch to enable the trimming at the top of the Map Detail page.

The Location Map trimming is still something we are evaluating.
