Map Pilot Pro - Upload Workflow

After straightening the images and unchecking images involved in the turns, I can not figure out how to preserve those selections in Quick-Maps in order to upload in Data Transfer. It wants to upload all of the images for the map unless I manually uncheck them in this step as well.

Aa a follow up, it is apparent that by selecting the photos in the upload process, none of the straightening done on Quickmaps was applied.

How do you proceed to upload with changes from Quickmaps?

Consider the Quick Maps adjustment to Data Transfers upload to MME a work in progress. There is more that will be happening here in the future.

The video here shows that for Flat Maps (only) the offsets will be passed through to MME.

It is only considered a Flat Map by the system if the overlap is less than 30%. (this is likely the issue)

The adjustments are not needed for regular photogrammetric processing.

We are actually able to see the offsets you entered: -9 and 4. We will look into why this isn't being taken into account.

Was it super windy when you collected this data? The flight trace has some weird excursions in it and your pitch and roll numbers were a lot more than we usually see.

Aircraft Pitch	Max: 21.20°, Min: -33.60°
Aircraft Roll	Max: 32.50°, Min: -24.90°

It looks like the upwind pass (middle) has a very different yaw to it. The current controls only allow for a universal offset. More fine grained controls are coming soon.

Yes it was windy but the same for all legs. I flew it three times and every time the middle leg went off course.

The aircraft going off course is not uncommon in high winds. You likely got a "Strong winds" warning in the aircraft errors panel. Keep an eye on that!

There are a bunch of unreported pointing errors in the gimbal pointing angles which is why we have added the yaw and trigger offset capabilities.

That being said, it looks like something weird is going on. Some of it is due to the windy conditions and some of the offsets not being able to be corrected with our adjustments but the rest seems to be in our pass direction detection logic in the processing. We will hopefully get this fixed quickly and reprocess your flat map.

Part of the issue here was that you did a linear mission. Those are not well supported in the Flat Maps adjustments stuff yet. I didn't realize that it was a linear mission until looking at the log file. Use the Normal mission type for now.

We will address this in 5.0.4.

We have set the job to reprocess so the road should line up. The sides won't be as good as in your screenshot. The wind messes with the reported gimbal pointing numbers pretty badly. This too will be addressed in 5.0.4

I know you can't always control it but it is best to fly the passes perpendicular to the wind so you don't have such a big speed and yaw disparity.
