Map Pilot Pro - Android Fails to Land

Twice now on two separate devices running the most recent version of Map Pilot Pro from the Google Store Map Pilot Pro has failed to land the drone. Even worse is the UAS is unresponsive to inputs from the controller.

It manifested after the the UAS finished it's mission, returned to home and then just sat hovering at the RTH altitude over the landing site until one of two things happens.

The battery runs out to the point where the drone forces a landing or I disconnect Map Pilot Pro, launch DJI Fly and taken over control with DJI Fly.

This is using a DJI Mini 2 and an RC-N1 Controller.  The devices are a Pixel 8 Pro and an onn 8" tablet.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a logging function where I can more information?

We are sorry to hear you are having issues with landing. There have been a few changes posted since 3.1.2 which is the version you are using.

You can view your flight logs and raw CSV files here:

https://www.mapsmadeeasy.com/map_pilot/missions/

From flight 1 of your most mission log it looks like the mission was paused for some reason. At this point the virtual stick control mission ended and you were in control. You should have gotten a message that told you this had occurred.

The second flight has some weird pausing too.

Please download the latest version and do a couple small controlled test flights to see if it still occurring. We can check the log files from that to see if there is anything that we can see that needs to change.

I am having the same problem. I've done two flights with Map Pilot Pro and my DJI Mini 2 this past week, and had the same situation both times. I got the message "returning to home, prepare to take over" or whatever the wording is, and the drone moved to the position above the takeoff point, but then hovered there without descending, and nothing I did on the controller worked. On the first flight, the battery ran low and the drone forced landing.

At the link in the response, I see the flight information for April 11, but nothing for the flight from yesterday. Do I need to do something in Map Pilot Pro to trigger the upload?

Also, I have AirData linked to my Map Pilot Pro app, and both times no data was sent to AirData.

DJI Mini 2, RC-N1 Controller, TriplTek tablet.

Today I changed over to a Samsung S20 and downloaded the apk right from https://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/8160429529876-Installation

I installed, linked and tried a small test flight. Same thing. Completed the flight. Gave me the message it was returning home. Came home but hovered and would not respond to any commands from the sticks or Return-To-Home overrides. I disconnected the USB cable. Turned off the controller, turned it back on and then the controller took back control and I was able to manually land.
