Making Maps in the Field

I can't pair my phone to my Ipad as a hotspot.

I would like to be able to make my mission in the field sometimes instead of having to find a wifi hot-spot.

I don't have a subscription cell or data on my Ipad.

Is there anything, short of get a plan for my Ipad, that can be done so I can access a map to create my mission?

You don't need to have an internet connection in the field as long as you plan and save your flights before you head out. The basemap and terrain data will be saved locally which make it so you can make changes in the field without the need for an active internet connection.
