Matrice 4T Thermal

Hi! The pricing page says that you support thermal, but when using a flat map, I get a resolution too small error. How can I go about creating thermal maps with your software? I am flying a Matrice 4T. Thank you for your help!

Thanks! I am now able to get to the last step. However I get the error:

"Flat Maps need to know the elevation of the takeoff location in order to process properly. Please include an image that was taken on the ground at the takeoff location in the data set."

I took the photos at 65 feet (and even tried to create a jpg with the updated exif altitude data) but I still get that error. Is there anything I can do to get around it? Thanks!

You need to have that image so the system knows exactly where the camera is looking. Flat Maps are based on pointing angles, not feature matching.

Hacking on the XMP tags is hard. You need to get the in habit of taking a test image on the ground before or after you take off so you have this information. Map Pilot Pro takes this image for you automatically.

I can get in the habit for the future. Is there anything I can do with my thermal ortho set currently? I was able to build an ortho in webodm, but I'd like to use something easier if possible. Thanks for your help!
