Problem with STRM

I want to update the STRM of my map pilot because it has errors in certain places where the dem goes to a point totally out of the field and there are flights that I cannot do because of that, a colleague told me that it is because the STRM I have is old and it has those errors in the joints of the quadrests of the STRM model and that if I put a more updated version that is fixed. Please I would like support of what procedure to carry out for it because I do not understand the solutions given in other posts of similar problems.
