Waypoint mission canceled

I have a Phantom 3 Standard and have the issue about setting the home point but when get through that, the quad starts the mission appearently with no problems until it shoots 3 or 4 photos and then it shows up a message "Waypoints mission canceled" the drone still flying through the map but without taking any photos. Please help!

The flight is managed by the waypoint flight controller which doesn't need an active connection. This is the safest way to fly in the case that something goes wrong. 

The picture taking is managed by an active connection to the app. There could be an issue with the connection since the Standard relies on WiFi. We have found that it isn't the most reliable mapping platform and it generally only works within about 100 meters.

Thank you very much for your answer. The thing is that I have been using the Map Pilot app for 5 months and for the last 5 missions I keep getting the same message even if I stay within 100 meter range. I did some map surveys in the past with larger ranges than 100 meters, but maybe this time is about any interference. I think I'll do more testing...

Hey,
I'm using Map Pilot on a phantom 4. I have the latest firmware on the drone and the controller. I flew about 8 flights today and the first 6 were fine, apart from skipping a few photographs at random times or when the controller link was low.
However, on the second last flight it stopped taking photographs for a while, completely wasting one battery. The same thing happened on the next flight just that I got the waypoint mission cancelled error. I always plan my flights such that the end point is closest to the home location. So the link was definitely getting stronger if anything.

This is my first attempt with maps made easy and the app seems good but if it requires me to stand and point the controller in its direction the whole time, I'm afraid that's a deal breaker.
