This is not currently possible but we will look into adding it. In our experience that would be an infrequently used feature though.
We can right click on the base map and it tells the lat long. How about entering a lat long to place a marker.
When doing some reference mapping in deep vegetation where visible markers on the ground are impossible to see from the air, it would be very helpful to place markers based upon coordinates in order to mark property corners, for instance.
Is this possible with Maps Made Easy?

regarding infrequent use. Perhaps I am missing something.
Take this scenario. I build a map of a wooded lot where locators on the ground that could be seen in the imagery is not possible.
With the current tool set, how would I mark the property corners on top of the orthoimage?
I live in the Pacific Northwest, and barren parcels are the exception. I would like to use the drone for mapping these areas, but if placing a marker with a coordinate is considered not very important, then I may be in the wrong place?
I have to disagree that this is an infrequent requirement. Placing markers and moving them on an iPad (or worse an iPhone) is a pretty hit and miss affair especially if you use your finger rather than a stylus.
Having the ability to enter Lat/Lon (or at least be able to edit a point using Lat/Lon) would make life much less frustrating in this regard.
Even better would be the ability to perform offline creation of areas of interest and being able to edit by saving/uploading CSV files.
I find myself leaning towards Litchi these days because of the interface issues with Map Pilot. It is pretty easy with Litchi to create a CSV file with appropriate photo locations then upload it as a flight plan.
Are there plans to offer an offline creator similar to Litchi's mission hub.
In Maps Made Easy you can import KML/GPX/custom markers using the Mapbox Map ID if you want markers drawn at specific locations.
If you are talking about Map Pilot, you can easily import KML files with markers, lines and polygons drawn in Google Earth. You shouldn't be too worried about where the survey boundaries are being placed since they are not actually flown. Having a good guideline imported through a KML file will let you properly place your flight path with high precision.
No one should be typing in coordinates by hand. That's boring and error prone.
Nothing about Map Box seems easy to me (sorry).
In MME, I don't see any way to import a kml. Perhaps you could share the steps necessary.
All I want to do is overlay a precise polygon (the property boundary) on an orthoimage in MME.
I can use the MME orthoimage in Google Earth and overlay the polygon because it does allow precise input. But I would like to be able to do that in MME and the client could view it there, less steps.
The markup tools currently in MME are very basic and hit and miss. Perhaps the focus of MME is not for use with clients and just more or less a preview mechanism? I'm not trying to be critical. If that is the goal of the platform, then I understand the reluctance to put any time in refining the toolkit.
