Volume mapping with maps made easy DJI

I just wonder if its possible to to Volume calculation with maps Pilot app,
Similar to what pix4d is offering?
For mines and calculation of volumes on big sandpiles and similar

The Map Pilot app is only for collection data. How you process the data is up to you. We provide our Maps Made Easy pay-as-you-go processing system for easy online access to orthomap and 3D model processing.

We recently added the capability to measure 3D volumes from within our web interface using our volumetrics tool. When you upload the job, be sure to check the box to enable the volume measurements. This cannot be done after the job is already processed.

This tool was designed specifically for measuring stock pile volumes and removed material volumes.

Yes. Just remember you have to select that checkbox at the time of upload. The capability cannot be added after the fact. We haven't documented it too much yet but hope to have a sample on our sample page soon. We will try to post a video soon.

OK nice, I did a test and seem to work
BUT
1, How do i change to metric scaling?
2, cant the measure tools be available in full screen mode also?

To change to metric select account in the top right, go to profile and check the Metric Units checkbox.

It is currently only available in the Map Detail screen. We will enable it in the private full screen view soon. We wanted to make sure it was working well for everyone before duplicating it elsewhere.

OK fund the metrics.
And i understand how to make lines around piles so it calculates the volume.
Once it done that i can then click each "pile" and it shows me the volume = nice
But , one i exit the map and the go back in to it. I can see the lines around a pile i made, But when i now click it , it don´s show the info any more? Just the lines.

You are correct. We are not currently recording these values beyond the current session.

If we find that people are using the tool we will adjust our annotations API to include text annotations and calculated value saving.

would be cool to have way to ad All volumes in a spreadsheet or a colum., or similar. then save that with the layer.
And then when you make the new maps on same area , then you can just compare the areas / volumes and see how the inventory is under a period of time.
Similar to what i seen about how layers can be used when building stuff on properties and similar.

This would make its very easy to manage a mine or similar :)

Good suggestions. Hard to do, but good. If we find that there is a market for it that justifies the development we will certain try to add the features.

We just added support for the calculated volumes being saved with the annotations so you can refer back to them and show them publicly.
