My Map Pilot Pro is crashing. The app crashes when it finds the drone on the map. I have tried everything on the help site already. I am using an Iphone 8. Is there any idea's out there. It worked fine for me earlier today, but has not worked this afternoon. No app's are running in the background and I have reset the phone and checked the CPU. Everything looks ok.
Thank you for your report. We were able to duplicate your problem and have addressed the issue. There was a file missing with the released version of the app.
We have 5.1.1 submitted with Apple but you can use the beta version in the meantime. Install the Test Flight app from the App Store and get the beta here:

What version of Map Pilot Pro?
What aircraft/camera?
Does it work if you are in airplane mode?
Do you get the message saying the aircraft has been detected?
Is it showing the red triangle?

I can try airplane mode tomorrow.
It gives me the message that the aircraft is detected and shows the triangle, but then the app crashes/closes

I am using an Iphone 8. I have reset and erase all content and re-installed. I am still getting the same error. I have tried another Iphone (11) and I get the same error. The DJI GO 4 app seems to working fine and has communication. The error is when I try a New Mission in Map Pilot Pro. It looks for the drone, I get a pop-up that it found the Mavic 2 Pro, gives me the red triangle for less than a second and then I get my home screen. The Map Pilot Pro app is still open in the background but it is not running. I was thinking it was just an application error and not necessarily a DJI or Iphone error. Have you heard anyone having issues with 5.1.0 build? It looks like it was installed 10/15/21

I had the same issue this morning with my mp2. Then I saw the update history. Checked I store and found the updated app. for some reason app didn’t update automatically. Uninstalled it, reinstalled it and the new version got installed 5.1.1.
HOWEVER now the mavic pro 2 doesn’t connect at all! Tried the old map pilot app (discontinued one) and mavic connected with no issue. Tried it several times in map pilot pro with no success. Please help
Johan: If it was a fresh installation you need to make sure you are on the internet the first time you load the New Map screen so the app can register with DJI. No aircraft will connect until this happens. The change for 5.1.1 was for only the M2P crashing AFTER it connects when the video stream was starting.
I will go through the process again, as I was connected to the internet to download the app in the first place and subsequently tested the connection with the MP2 while connected. I also synced my missions successfully which meant the internet connection was good. Will remove the app and do it all over again and give you feedback
Hi Zane, happy to report , your advice of reinstalling the app and having mp2 and internet connection set up in the whole process seemed to work and resolved the non connection issue with the MP2 on 5.1.1 . All good again thanks
