Memory Error when trying to upload a set of images

The page will not allow me to reply to my own comment on another thread, so having to start a new question. I am using an HP laptop with Core I7 processor, 8GB of RAM, the Chrome browser, and trying to upload an image set of 257 pictures of apprx 8mb each. I am using the DJI workflow and the upload process will get to about 230-240 of those images, then the browser crashes with an "AW Snap - out of memory" error. I have tried 2 different laptops, three different locations with internet, all have crashed. I have not tried the classic workflow as yet, but this is getting pretty darn frustrating. Since I am having issues with this support thread, a reply to my dofuas@wv.gov account would be preferred. thank you

8GB of RAM isn't a lot these days... Use your system monitor utility to check how much RAM is actually available. About 100K from each image is cached for inspecting the image tags in the DJI Specific workflow. That does add up pretty quickly. Post a screenshot of what is using memory on your system and we can help.

With a lot of web applications that are out there these days 8 GB doesn't go too far when applied on top of the OS.

Have you tried fully closing Chrome (which is a super memory hog) and try using either a Incognito Chrome window or Firefox?

The DJI Specific workflow uses a 3rd party uploader called Filestack. It works better for most people but still does occasionally have issues. Usually they are more dropped image related though. This is a pretty straightforward system resource issue.

A followup to my original post - I began the process to upload images using the Classic Workflow instead of the DJI Workflow, but when it calculated the points cost, it was more than I had! When I was using DJI workflow, it only calculated a cost of 771 points and my balance was 915, so no problem, right? I went ahead and added 1500 points just to be safe, and tried running the upload again via the DJI Workflow....guess what? This time it worked and only failed on 4 pictures. I find it very strange that all of a sudden the upload works after adding points - maybe the MME points calculator is off, or someone's looking for a little more money? What gives, MME?

Zane, I can't find exactly the kind of list you are talking about. I get something similar in Task Manager, but the list is quite long, not sure if I can post the whole list. Running W10, can you point me in the right direction?

The Task Manager is what you want. Then select RAM or Memory or something like that. Then have it order the list biggest to smallest so you can see the top offenders. Close those.
