Deleted missions are not being removed from mission plans

Ok. I see that now. That makes things very difficult for us. I want it to sync the deletions also. Can you please change the app to do that? It would also be nice for it to auto sync without me forcing it to keep missions updated across multiple devices  

When I create a mission and someone goes out in the field the potential to pull up the wrong mission, one that has been deleted, is very high. We all use different devices. 

Yeah, the ability to actually "sync" your mission plans, rather than just copy back and forth, was a request from the beginning of this scheme. The current method is pretty time consuming if you want to actually keep all of your devices "synced".  And if you're not careful to delete plans everywhere on all devices, they tend to come back to life if you miss one.  I'm really surprised it works for folks that use more than one device in their operation.

If I delete a plan on any device, and select "sync", I would prefer that it is gone on every device (the next time they log in)  and on the site. 

As a workaround, it would be nice if on the site, you were able to tick as many plans as you like and delete them all without opening each one. And, the next time one of your devices logs in, it propagates deletions as well as additions.

And actual folders for organization...oh my.  Boundary Groups are not helpful, for me at least.  But that's a different previous request.

It autosynced before but people complained about that for privacy reasons. 

Everyone has their own idea of how it should work. We chose to keep Maps Made Easy as the master copy due to various requirements/request from large customers.

The idea behind having deletions occur only locally is to be on the safe side to prevent data loss.

For my part, I'm not complaining about having to manually tap the sync button.  And I really wouldn't care if they all lived forever on the site, even if I delete them on a device.  But when I tap "sync" on another device, I don't want that one that I deleted on the other device to be added.  I'm surprised that the "big" customers want this.

Take Dropbox.  They know a little about syncing all your devices attached to your account.  If you delete something, they initially give you the option to delete it locally, or everywhere.  And you can then set that as your default.

Zane, you've integrated Dropbox into the project file download step.  Could you do the same for mission sync?  Users would use their own space to save files and the user would gain any control they want. Win/win.

Even if I just want to be able to sync the missions across my devices, I can’t even do that. It pulls in all of the deleted stuff from the cloud. I only wanted to sync the missions that I have, not the ones that I have deleted. I deleted them because I don’t want them. Having an undelete feature seems it would totally resolve these issues. It is very difficult to manage the way it is currently set up. When I delete something, I expect that it is deleted. I always use more than one device because I never rely on just taking one out to the field with me. I always at least have my phone and iPad with me. If I have a second iPad, it makes things even more confusing. 

The problem here is that you need to use the the device to create a map.  You can save the mission from the device. You do basically everything from the device. There is even the sync option on the device. However, when you want to delete some thing you have to completely start another workflow, log into the website and try to find the mission you just deleted. Problem is, you can’t easily find the mission you deleted because you have no record on that device or cloud of what was deleted. For something that should take a matter of seconds, it can easily into 5 to 15 minutes depending on how many missions you have to filter through. That’s absurd.

If you are stuck on having it stay this way, could the deleted missions at least be flagged so when you sync it has some sort of flag icon in the mission list on all devices, including the web based version, that a particular mission was deleted?  Still not the best solution......but better than nothing. I personally feel making the sync option actually sync everything is the best option. That’s how every other app in the world works....why not this one?

PS - For those that worry about privacy concerns.....maybe they shouldn’t be online or have a smart phone ;)

Another option that would be great and keep your central idea of missions be on the website.....allow deleted missions to sync on devices, so they are actually removed. When you log into the site, if needed, you will see a list of deleted mission (just like an email folder). If something was deleted mistaking, you can just simply undelete.  This would be so beneficial and helpful. Makes the workflow much easier and makes managing missions a lot easier also.

Also, when saving a current mission that is already saved...give the option to overwrite the current saved mission or add as a new one. There are times I need to revise a flight plan. It would be nice to overwrite the one I currently have Instead of saving new......this is where all of the above comes into play and makes it almost impossible to find with current setup. It is fine when you only have a few missions.....if you have 50, it becomes a daunting task

Any changes along these lines would be in version 5.0 and up.

What is the status on updating the mission sync process so it actually syncs with the server?  This is an organizational nightmare (they way it currently is).

I delete stuff from the iPad....we use an iPhone if something happens to the iPad...it's impossible to sort through and figure out what is old, what is new and what is just not relative anymore.

When we delete from a device, we won't it deleted everywhere.  Maybe give the option to undelete for 14 days or so.  Having it sync across multiple devices is a HUGE hassle right now.

We have it up and running in 5.0 which is turning out to be a bigger release than expected. Please send your information to be added as a Beta tester for earlier access.

There is a note on the Maps Made Easy Dashboard to email mapping@dronesmadeeasy.com. Be sure to include your MME username. We don't see an account for you in the system.  

This will actually be fixed in 4.1.14.

Zane, I've got some flight plans where I deleted them on the device and made another one with the same name.  Now there are several versions of the plan on the website with apparently no way to delete them because the app can't tell them apart.

Help please, I've been able to delete all of them except the 2 copies of "BL Littlerock N 201231 "  Both copies can be deleted as I've made a new adjustment.

We have deleted the duplicates. It doesn't really matter what you call them. We track them by unique identifiers but seems there were some sync issues.
