Map Pilot 2.4.7 Crash and odd Behavior

Equipment Phantom 4 pro, Ipad Mini 2 IOS 10.3

Today I had the app crash on me at least 4 times. It seems multi-battery missions causes some resources to be hogged and the APP crashes. The first battery is usually fine and by the end of the second battery if the app didn't crash it misses taking pictures even thought radio signal strength is at 100%. Today was the most frustrating day using your app. I was using terrain aware. I have never seen the app crash during a flight before today and I have at least 200 hundred flights with Drone Pilot.

Last week I helped a friend get his Matrice 600 going and with multi battery missions it crashed on him several times.

Also is there any way to control the ISO when using shutter priority. On phantom 3 pro is worked fine but on P4P the iso is stuck at 100.

I wish I could roll back to 2.4.6

We have isolated the issue down to it being a periodic memory leak with the SDK. The only way for us to deal with it is to force an aircraft disconnect after each landing. The effect is the same as unplugging the cable from the iOS device after the battery is swapped.

You can use this as a workaround for now but there will be a new release for version 2.5.0 that handles it more gracefully.

It is always fun chasing a moving target...

Hi Zane,

Thank you :)
So to make sure I understood you right:
I can disconnect the iPad after each flight and reconnect it and thats it?
2nd think- is there a way to save a mission after the drone completed a battery, close the app, go home and continue it ftpm that same point the next day?

Thanks :)

Yes. The creation of a new connection to the device seems to clear whatever is causing the SDK's internal memory leak.

After landing you should be able to close the app and restart it without losing your progress for breaking large missions up over multiple visits.
