5.4.9 niggles

Hi Guys, a couple of bugs today.

(I know 5.4.10 is now current, but..)

I planned a mission with the MP settings of:

Craft:  P4P

Inherit Camera: Yes (first time using this setting.)

Craft bug:  When I go to run the mission, I get the dialog, "Mission was planned with Mavic Pro, do you want to update?"  I select yes, but this is a bug.

Inherit bug:  I connect using Go4 and format the SD card and set up camera settings.

When I close Go4 and open the mission in MP, the camera settings are intact.

But, after a battery swap, camera settings have returned to Auto.  (I missed that and had to re-do a section).

What's interesting, is that in the past, I have never used "inherit" and I'm pretty sure the camera settings were retained between batteries. Go figure.

I also get a pop-up about Autel needing internet the first time which is interesting since I'm using the P4P, but it's easy enough to dismiss.

There was a period of time where there was a bug in the saving missions. It is possible it was saved using an the Mavic Pro. Please send us the .mme file if you think it is being shown to you in error.

We will look at the inherit settings issue.

The Autel issue comes up after it looks for both aircraft for a bit. The Autel aircraft requires an internet connection before the connection can be made (goofy) which makes it possible this error is shown any time you are connecting there is no internet connection. The idea is that it is easy to permanently get rid of.

It was a new mission, but I used an older mission because the project area was the same.  But I edited everything else.  The bug could have been pulled from there?  If so, do I need to create the mission again from scratch in order to squash the bug?

Yeah, the "do not show again" option kills the Autel dialog.

One other quick question.  I always have the mission loaded on 2 ipads in the field.  I can sync the mission plans but of course base map caching is not part of the deal.  Is there any way to cache base maps onto the backup ipad without having to save the mission as a new mission?  If not, maybe a "download basemaps" option after a mission plan has been synced to other devices?

Update it so it takes your currently connected aircraft into account and save the new mission. Delete the old one.

Due to licensing terms for the cached tiles you have to resave the mission. So you could unlock it and then hit save again to get the tiles locally. Then the tiles are local on that device and you can delete the newly created mission.
