The Mini 4 has an A8 processor which is less than we are recommending as a minimum for the last couple of years. With the update to iOS 15 there is surely an increased CPU load for the operating system which leaves less for apps. We have done a lot of testing with iOS 15 on newer devices with no differences.
The mission uploading isn't a particularly CPU intensive activity though. The main cause for that is interference. Try it out in the middle of nowhere or somewhere you know you have had success before.
Also, try a newer spec iOS device if you have one. We no longer test with anything below the A10.
Also, to be clear, what version of Map Pilot Pro are you using? We can't see any of your flight logs so we can't provide much more help without more info.
