Best Way to Map Large Area

What is the best way to set up a large map, ~ 90 acres?

One flight plan or several small ones?

90 acres isn't that big and can easily be covered in a single map as long as you aren't flying super low. It may take a couple of flights to collect the data but it can all be processed together as long as it is all collected in one shot. Breaking multiple flights up over different site visits will give different lighting conditions and cause feature matching issues.

Maps Made Easy will accept up to 4000 images at a time but generally it is best to limit that to 1000 images until you are really solid on your data collection.

Hello Zane, Thanks for the reply, I was thinking of a height of about 250 ft and an overlap of 70 along and 80 across. I am using a Mavic 2 Pro. These settings call for producing 1413 images, max speed of 17.5 mph and using 5 batteries. The map will be used to visually inspect the Site for possible in person follow up as well as to generate a DEM for topographic purposes. Do these parameters seem appropriate? This is is the first large scale mapping project I've done and want it to go smoothly.
