Battery limitted timer ??? MAVIC PRO

Can someone explain it to me , if I set battery timer to BATTERY :IMITED,  on what battery percentage will aircraft start a return to home for battery replacment. Is it the preseted value in dji app for low battery warning, or when its battery at critical level, or maybe intelligent battery somehow calculate how much power has left and then start return to home. It will return home when the battery detects that it is at a the maximum distance away from the home point that it has power to get home with. The battery keeps track of a maximum range radius for which it has power to get home. Once it detects that the aircraft has exceeded that it will trigger a return to home event. This takes into account the time to descend from the current flight altitude.

"Battery Power Triggered Return To Home

The smart batteries in the Phantom 3 and Inspire 1 drones know how much power it will take them to get home. When the aircraft realizes that it is further away than it has power to get home, it will immediately head for home and draw a Abandonment Point on the Map Pilot map.

We have tested this extensively and have had no problems with it. Remember that the aircraft's distance to home power requirement will likely be wrong in the case of a stiff headwind so keep that in mind. "

That is what DJI calls "smart return to home"

Q:  Does MP use that mode even if the user has purposely turned it off via GO?

Dave: Yes. We always enable smart return to home to keep people from losing their aircraft.

Okay, glad I asked. Most flight apps do not override the users battery management settings. That kind of goes against your typical protocol of leaving responsibility to the operator. You might want to mention overwrites, especially critical system settings, in your pop-up release.

I know it is on by default, but I am very proactive in my operation management which may not be the norm.
Just a heads-up. Folks should not dependant on that because it's really not all that "smart". It does not account for an older, weaker battery nor (and especially) the wind.

Anyway, Happy New year!
