Overexposed images

This has been an ongoing problem. If it is not fixed i will be abandoning this software and getting something that works.

I have tried every workaround that I can find on this forum and elsewhere and it is STILL randomly overexposing images.

Today I fly in DJI go prior to a mission in order to find proper camera settings. it was cloudy so I ended up with 1/320 shutter... was just a test so I figured I would try it. during flight the camera info says it is doing just that - taking photos at 1/320s shutter speed, even is showing that they are 2 stops underexposed. The preview pane of what the camer is seeing during flight looks fine

every image is overexposed to the point of being useless. I made sure that DJI go was killed before starting, and went through the steps outlined in a previous posters workaround (setting camera settings in DJI Go at 1/800, etc.

Plaese help - or say goodbye to a mapping professional using your software.

Well... Map Pilot doesn't honor any camera settings that are made in DJI Go so that isn't going to help much. You will need to set the white balance and exposure mode/numbers in Map Pilot. We recommend getting up to your flight altitude and pausing the mission so you can use a combination of the right click wheel and the Map Pilot controls to get things set properly.

If you manually set the exposure too long and fly over something bright, it is going to be overexposed. That is how it works.

In general we recommend using the Auto mode and using the right click wheel to bump the Exposure Compensation numbers up or down according to what you are seeing.

Me too have some overexposed photos during the mission. DJI P4A here.

I don't think it has to do with MapPilot but with the camera itself.

By using the Auto exposure in cloudy conditions is not good for me because it slows down the aircraft. If it is a sunny day it is ok. I ended up using the Shutter priority to control the shutter speed. I am getting lower f-stops but it isn't problem for me. The overexposure is unavoidable with this camera i think..

It is slowing the aircraft down for a reason... Map Pilot is trying to keep your ground smear to a minimum by taking the average exposure time and aircraft speed into account. The general rule is to keep it under 2 GSD units.
