I am unclear as to when this photo is taken.
Because of the terrain I operate in, my Phantom 4 never lands - I catch it and then power off the motors to prevent damage.
I never see an elevation reference image. Is this the reason? If so, what happens if I manually take a photo just before turning the motors off? The fact that the drone's altitude at power off is 1.5 metres or so is neither here nor there in the total scheme of things.
A Ground Reference Image get taken every time the aircraft takes off.

If you are not seeing the image being taken on there ground there might be something else going on. Also, make sure you are using the latest version of the app.
