Tips for offline Mapping in Haiti

HI,
Friday I will be going to Haiti to map a plot of land that a relief center
will be built on. I'll be using my phantom 3 Pro, iPad Air 2, Bad Elf Surveyor GPS and lots of batteries and fast memory cards. I will have ZERO internet connectivity in Haiti. What is the best strategy to insure that the maps are available locally on my iPad so I can plan, modify and execute missions while on the ground in Haiti? -Thanks

With the latest version of Map Pilot you can save basemaps while you have connection so you can use the saved mission in the field. You can also create new missions using that cached basemap. You cannot currently save a new mission that is created while viewing an already saved cached mission but that is on the way.

The standard Apple Maps caching is still a mystery to us and it is not to be trusted. Our caching will be there until you manually delete the saved mission.

I don't have any answers for this topic, but I'm very interested in the responses. By the way, what area of Haiti will you be working in? I've spent quite a bit of time around Cap Haitien. I wonder if you could replace the sim in the ipad, and get data from one of the cellular providers in Haiti?

We are building a relief,education and sports center in Fonds-Parisien. the organization is plhope.org
I thought about a sim card, might try it but cell coverage is spotty at the site. There must be a way to get map pilot to work with offline maps.
