In case it helps anyone

My experiences in getting MP to connect to the P3P  have been hit & miss (the UPLOAD button remains grey). I don't blame the app, may be it's just me or my equipment.  I normally begin with DJI GO to ensure everything works, then shut it off and start MP . Today I tried not even turning on DJI GO but just starting with MP, gave it a couple of minutes for the bird to warm up and acquire the sats, took off to about 30 feet, then hit UPLOAD (all white, great!) hit START and the mission went w/o a hitch.

QUESTION: How do I take manual control (after hitting GO HOME) to manually land (auto landings are too rough)? If I switch to P-GPS I lose the abandon point for a multiple battery mission.

Thanks for the feedback, Luis. There DJI SDK still needs a bit of work on its connection management and taking over the camera connection from the DJI Go app.

The Go Home button is used to record the point to return to if you are part way through a mission. If you push that first, make sure it is recorded and then flip to P then you are in complete control. Most people will just let it get most of the way down and then take it over.

As an FYI: you can steer the aircraft while it is autolanding to make it land as smoothly as you want. Left stick up will slow (stop) the automated descent.
