That is not something our app does and we have tried to address it. There isn't really a good way to detect which app is being switched to and it messes up background operation.
After using the app and going back to dji app the camera settings have changed. Is it possible to get the map pilot app to change the settings back to original ones that were set when the connection was first made?

Can you confirm the settings that can be changed and need to checked and reset manually after using the app? Maybe also add a reminder within the app about this.
Map Pilot sets Contrast, Color Saturation, Exposure Compensation, White Balance and uses Shutter Priority Auto Exposure.
These are all pretty standard settings. You can set the settings (except for Auto Exposure and Contrast) in Map Pilot to what you would like them to be in DJI Go and they won't be changed when switching back and forth. Chances are you are already using the same Contrast and Auto Exposure.
Tutor, It sure seems like Map Pilot is changing the camera settings in my P3's at least.
1. Open Go, set camera settings. file type, RAW, Manual exposure, etc.
2. Close Go, open and fly a Map Pilot Mission with auto camera settings. Mission Ends.
3. Close out Map Pilot, and open GO. Camera setting are now on jpeg and all auto.
It's pretty simple. Sure would be nice if camera settings were returned to the way Map Pilot found them.
