When using the MME Point Estimator using the specs above, it yields a GSD of 4.1 cm/pixel.
When creating a mission in Map Pilot using the same specs (150 ft; 10.3 MPH), it states a GSD of 1.3 cm/pixel in the side panel.
Which is correct?? I'm quoting a big job and not sure what resolution to quote and what my actual cost will be at 150ft/10.3MPH. Thanks in advance...
The Point Estimator page and the Map Pilot camera parameters are the same.
It looks like you may be putting 150 in the Altitude AGL which is labeled with units as meters. This would be 46 meters. When you put in 46 meters (for 150 ft) the GSD value goes to 1.3 cm/pixel.
The speed doesn't have anything to do with this calculation. GSD is solely dependent on sensor size, sensor resolution, lens FOV, and Altitude AGL.

The Point Estimator is probably not accurate. In Map Pilot, if you set the P4P as the camera in Settings, what it reports will be fairly accurate.
Yep. That's what I did. You can draw a sample flight plan in Map Pilot, pull out the side panel with flight estimates (battery, number of images, and required points, etc). My trust level is not quite there yet, so I think I'll fly a test mission to see if the numbers stack up vs. real-world.

The estimate provided by the app is pretty reliable. I find that I end up with less photographs than the estimate mainly do to the P4P skipped image bug. Since points accumulate based upon submitted images... you get it.
Time is close too. But remember, it's just an estimate. There are many variables that come into play when you actually fly missions in the field. You will learn that with experience. But back to the estimate, add 5 to 7% to every parameter for good measure, and you should be good.
PS. The P4P bug is not a Map Pilot issue, but a DJI one. Plan with good overlap and usually skipped images will not adversely effect the stitch.
