Thanks Zane for your response. The mission was set to fly at 50 meters. I thought this meant 50 meters above the surface not above sea level. It started flying horizontally about 6 meters above the ground which I guess is about 50 meters above sea level.

If you set the flight to happen at 50 meters it will go up to 50 meters above ground level, not sea level. This is controlled by the aircraft's barometric altimeter and is pretty accurate. 

I don't see an account for you in the system so I can't look up your flight logs. Let us know your username and sync all your flights so we can see what is going on here.

When the aircraft takes off it does go directly north 2 meters as it takes off as a workaround for an old DJI SDK bug. It looks like it started making that motion down low and you took over. You definitely want to be taking off with plenty of clearance in all directions to keep things like that from happening. 

Another good practice is to do a full test flight using the DJI app any time you get to a new location to check things out. Once you land you need to fully close the DJI app before opening Map Pilot Pro. This will ensure that the aircraft is in good working order and has a solid GPS fix for the new location while checking for any aircraft errors.
