We have heard this a few times since the update and are looking into it. We are unable to duplicate it.
Are you using the default Mapbox settings or your own?

Offline map download Progress
Newversion 1.4.0
when I try to save a mission to use it offline, it doesn't save it, the progress bar doesn't even start loading. Ipad mini 3,IOS 9.2.1, previously used w/o download problems.

I did not change the long string in TOKEN but I did get a mapbox ID?

OK, I used the placeholder numbers and it downloads as usual.
When I used my own id and token the download does not work. If I have internet access at the site I don't need to bother with the caching limit. Right?

Correct. You don't need to worry about caching if your device will have data service in the field.
The Map ID and Access Token have to match. You can't use your Map ID and our Access Token, that would defeat the purpose of having both!
If you modify the default placeholder values, things won't work either. Either use your own set or fully delete the values or else errors will come up.
