Offline map upload

Thanks for this. I tried it disconnected (Wifi turned off) this morning and it worked. Perhaps I still had Wifi turned on and it was trying to connected, or on my other iPad the Verizion SIM was still on and trying to connect.

On another note, I was using a iPad Mini w/iOS 8.4. I have other iPads of various iOS 8 and iOS 9 operating systems. One part of your support area says iOS 8 and 9 are ok. Another part mentions only iOS 9. Can you clarify?

Trying with a bad connection is harder to deal with than not trying.

It should work the same with iOS 8 and 9.  It was iOS 9 for a brief period of time but we took the use of a couple of features out to make it more general.

Ok, thanks for this. One more question. 

I flew a ~200 acre site a few weeks ago at 80% and 70% overlap. We had some issue with some images not being recorded. Anyway, I noticed that the image files stopped at DJI_0999.jpg. I've got a 64GB card so we didn't run out of space. 

Is there any kind of hard limit on file numbering? The next flight is setup to record 1,979 images.

Usually it will just keep writing the files into a different folder... Did that not happen?

It created a second folder (101Media) and wrote some files there, but we lost a bunch. Fortunately, we flew it very conservatively so we had enough data. 

During that mission, the app locked up a couple of times. The P3P kept flying the mission, but no photos. Lots of variables that day. Cold temp (15-20F), multi-iPads being used, SD card write error, etc. so it's hard to pinpoint the issue. 

This morning, when I did the Offline test, 100Media and 101Media folders already existed on the SD card. it wrote to the 101Media folder and not the 100Media folder, which surprised me a little. 

A lot of these issues are things we can't change and are issues with the operation of the DJI SDK. Some of the crashes sound like they may be due to some temperature issues with temperatures that low.  We haven't heard to people having too much success with the P3 in those conditions.

It is always best to format your card after taking all the images off onto your computer.

Hopefully a lot of these issues will get better in the upcoming release.

Update and one question.

Question. Towards the last part of the mission, it started drizzling rain, then heavier drizzle. I probably shouldn't have continued, but wanted to see how far I could push it. The P3P worked fine, but I noticed that water was accumulating around the camera (NADIR position) lens. You can actually see it in the images in the top left corner mostly. 

I haven't used your image processing service yet, but wanted to get your opinion on how these images will process to produce an orthphoto mosaic. Here's one of the worst images with the water bubble in the top right and left corners.

That image looks OK and would probably work for processing. If an area doesn't match it just won't get used.

I also have a problem with offline map, but its the question of downloading it. My internet connection is fast and everything works fine but this screen is already like 15 minutes and nothing changes. I have tried it out yesterday and also today and it doesnt work. Maybe i am doing something wrong? 

Upd.! Sorry understood my fault > need to make a mapbox id and token first .!
