Is the take off and the landing automatic?

The landing is automatic. We recommend that the pilot use the downward facing camera to make last minute adjustments or switch to P and land fully manual. The automatic landings can be a bit harsh sometimes...

The takeoff used to be automatic, then DJI restricted it to requiring the pilot to manually takeoff to 5 meters before being able to upload the mission and start it.

We have heard rumors that fully automatic takeoff we be making a return in the next firmware release.
