You could generate these files from the DEM using free software like QGIS...its an extra step but can easily produce contour lines

Exporting contour lines
After I fly and use maps made easy can I export contour lines? Or to some CAD format? Auto cad o archicad?

the QGIS tutorial is confusing me big time
is there not a simpler tutorial showing how to use the DEM files to get contours maps?
