So I created my first map today and went to fly it. The create map said the mission would take about 10 minutes. Once I started to fly, the app said over 20 minutes and would take a battery change. What's up with that?
If the light conditions were not able to support the estimated flight speed the aircraft was likely slowed down to accommodate this. You can turn this off in the settings.

If it was terrain aware it will also take longer and that is not accounted for in the estimated time.

Thanks for the response. I was able to determine this as well thru my research. I did not know about the "Terrain aware" option would also slow down the estimate, so that's good to know. I also contributed to the problem by using a ND8 Filter on top of the eclipse! So, moral of this story, don't do mapping during an eclipse, and NO filters... Thanks for the info.
