Overexposed images from Mavic

I flew my Mavic today with exposure mode set to shutter priority and shutter speed to 1/1000, WB to "sunny". The photos are washed-out; too bright. I'm sure it's because the ISO is set too high. The recorded ISOs vary between a few hundred, all the way to 1450; too high for a sunny day. If I just use 'Auto' exposure, the exposure is good, but the images are blurry -- maybe because of the 1/320 shutter speed? Any ideas?

There is still a LOT of funkiness going on with the Mavic and its exposure control. We see some pretty wacky numbers being posted. We are chalking it up to "they'll fix it soon" and it isn't something we can change in auto mode. It is just how it does it for now. Probably the best way to get it fixed is to squawk about it on the DJI forums and get other people to chime in with their experiences. From what we have seen, the issues happen in DJI Go too.

Thanks for the response. I flew again, and used 'Auto' exposure instead of Shutter Priority. As I mentioned above, my photos were blurry when I tried this originally. This time, I enabled manual focusing in the DJI app, focused on something far away, before opening Map Pilot. This time I have good exposures and they're reasonably well focused. I thought I read that I could focus in Map Pilot, but when I touch the camera view with two fingers, it just seems to size up/size down the window. Is that the focus method for Map PIlot (for Mavic)? Is there another way to ensure I'm focused without resorting to the DJI app?

For the newer DJI cameras that require focus Map Pilot will pull an auto focus at the point directly over the takeoff location. If 60m is the altitude that is selected in the slider then the autofocus will get pulled when it ascends to that height and the focal quality will vary depending on the actual AGL altitude. If you use Terrain Awareness this will keep the AGL constant.

You can force an autofocus by two-finger tapping in the top half of the camera preview window.
