The way to do it while dealing with DJI's limitation would be to pick you starting point and do 2 km behind you on the road and 2 km ahead. Proceed 4 km at a time.
We may add some other features for making it easier to do super long stuff.
Hi;
Anybody knows how to make a Corridor / Linear Mapping of 200 Km while Dji drones have a limitation of 2 Km distance from the starting point. What would be the ideal solution for mapping these 200 km (Hills and flat Terrain) by using the Map pilot App (Linear Mission feature) ?
Thanx;

If you lay it out properly you can go much further out than 2 km. Just make sure you battery limit is set so it won't trigger the return to home on its own (or far away) as this might make it so you can't restart.
Is there a way to command the drone thru map pilot to follow the remote controler at a defined altitude and take pictures automatically every X meters (with Terrain Awareness On) ? So in this case you escort the drone by car and you may reach 10 km by one flight. (Landing will be at the Remote Ctrl location). Is it feasible?
What you are describing is feasible but not how Map Pilot works. We do the the AGL lock feature you are describing in our Tag Pilot app but it does not offer distance or time based triggering.
Okay Zane, that sounds good. (One step ahead).
What about the possibilities of Adding the Distance or Time Triggering feature to the App ?
Thanx;
As discussed in our previous discussion:
Distance based triggering is not available on any but the newest DJI aircraft.
We don't currently plan on adding periodic imaging to Tag Pilot.
