While transferring files from one iPad to another I noticed that the same mission I have been flying at 3.4 m/s using a M600 with an X5 camera would be done at 9.5 m/s if I was using a Phantom 4. I'm doing a huge mapping job right now and speeding things up by 3x would be great. Is the difference between the X5 camera and the camera on the P4 that big of a difference? Thanks.
It is possible it is that much of a speed up. The X5 is slow and likely has a narrower field of view lens on it. All things being equal a narrower field of view will almost always be the limiting feature. Smaller GSD but with slower speed is the tradeoff to be made.
