Altitude above 60 metres

For some reason I am unable to create a mission above 60 metres altitude. When I try I receive an error "the altitude is too high" (or similar wording) and the mission will not start until I reduce the altitude to 60 metres - This is proving hazardous in mountainous terrain where the topography often increases by more than 60 metres within a given mission.

This is a setting that is controlled within the DJI Go app. Please check your maximum altitude in the "Set maximum flight altitude" setting in the MC Settings section of the DJI Go menu.

Map Pilot cannot program any flight higher than that number.

The maximum altitude in DJI Go is the default of zero (which means it defaults to 500 metres) so it's not DJI Go causing this.

I don't think it works like that... Please set it to a reasonable value like 120 m and give that a try.

Thanks Ryan - DJI Go 2..6.0 allows for a maximum flight altitude of 20~500 metres. By default it has a zero (0) max altitude setting (unlimited) that in practical terms means the ceiling is 500 metres unless you lose GPS fix then it automatically drops to 120 metres. I think if you adjust it manually you lose this failsafe however I'll give it a try next week during our next trial to see if it fixes the issue with the maps app.

With the new version of DJI 2.7.2 of 13 April 2016 the possibility of flying above 120m is maintained?

The limit that is settable in the 2.7.2 of DJI Go is still 500 meters which will allow Map Pilot to fly it its highest possible setting.
