I have done a stockpile map with both Maps Made easy and with Drone Deploy. I am getting over 13,000 cubic yards with Maps Made Easy, but only 7100 cubic yards with Drone Deploy. This is with the same data set of photos from Map Pilot. With the Drone Deploy data set of photos I am getting around 7000 cubic yards in the Drone Deploy app. What could be causing these vast differences?
Are you drawing plenty of points around the measurement area?
Is it on a flat surface?
The area of the pile is roughly 3300 yd² or so. I am seeing heights of 25 ft to 50 ft above the ground. (8.3 yards to 16.6 yards)
Is the average height of the pile 2.1 yards (2.1 yards x 3300 yd² = 7100 cubic yards) or is it more like 4 yards (4 yards * 3300 yd² = 13,000)?

The material was stacked with an 80ft stacker that stacks 35-40 ft high. So the highest areas are around 35 ft . Yes I have used plenty of points, I have been using your software for a year now and the results have seemed accurate. This is the first time I have used Drone Deploy, and am concerned with the accuracy.
You can see the elevations of all the spot points as reflected in the terrain data in the top right corner. I am seeing the highest point as being 184.2 ft. The base right next to it is 136 ft.
We can't help you with why someone else's answer would be different. I would recommend comparing the models using Cloud Compare or something like that to see where the differences are.
