Collect point feature suggestion

Please add collect point feature on app .

we have done some flight in desert and we had 2 problems . satellite photos were old moreover there were no object on sat images to find our location to define flight polygon.

in this case if we have a record point option we can move around project and mark some point and define flight polygon according to those pints location .

unfortunately we have to travel 300 KM to project again because our flight polygon were small . please check attached image there is a mine this photo there is a flat mine you cant find features on photo at field image date is 2017

You could also use Tag Pilot for this which has a lot of different KML output and tagging capabilities.

Or you could do as Mr Pitman suggested. This function is out of scope for Map Pilot.

You could also do a free flight and use the log file KML that gets generated as a guideline for laying out your mapping flight.

Lots of options.

Any time you are travelling that far to map something it would certainly make sense to make sure you were well prepared with all the data you could possibly need before leaving a solid internet connection.

In Tag Pilot you can import multiple KMLs for a mission and Map Pilot 5.0 will have that capability. Or you could use Google Earth to merge the KML file features.

Again, lots of options.

As a workaround, collect your points, add them to Google Earth or QGIS and then export a KML that can be imported into Map Pilot to guide your flight planning.

Rinex suggestion is a good suggestion .I have same issue

when i was going to open marked point that collected by Tag pilot a message appears and Map pilot couldn't open KML file .

Which IOS app can collect point and export as KML ?

The KMLs that are generated in Tag Pilot are compatible with Map Pilot but you can't transfer it directly (which is totally stupid). If you use the Map Pilot folder in the Files app, email or AirDrop the file off the device and back it will open.

(We are still trying to figure out the whole direct internal transfers thing. It actually edits the file when doing it internally for some reason and causes parsing errors.)
