Adding Annotation to 3d Model

Hi, is it possible to add annotation to 3d models? I'm making a map of a area with lots of mountain bike route and would like to add text info to the 3d model.

Our focus is on making the raw 3D models and not really on having a top notch viewer. We really like Sketchfab for hosting annotated 3D models with a nice online viewer. You can download the OBJ/MTL/JPG file set and upload that to Sketchfab for full detail hosting.
