Inspire1 X3 - constructed and uploaded a mission OK. The flight went to plan however no pictures were taken or stored on the SD card? This has now happened twice during our trials. Is there a setting I'm missing or is this a known bug?
Hmmm... That clearly isn't supposed to happen. Was it dropping the dots for the imaging locations? Was the count increasing? Was the card more than half full? What kind of card was it?
Sorry for all the questions but we need to know more to narrow it down.
You could have a hardware issue, an SD card issue or a there could be something going on with the app.

Thanks Ryan - I searched this forum and found a few other people had the same issue late last year - At the time it was attributed to the DJI firmware update. Our Inspire1 is running the latest DJI firmware. The SD card was empty except for half-a-doz JPG's and it's working properly (not sure what type it is without looking however we use it with Pix4D Capture and other apps without issue) - I did note the app wasn't recording the dots at the time of flight yet everything else with the flight went OK - I'm just not sure why this was happening; if it's a software bug or if there's a setting somewhere I missed to tell the app to take photos during the flight.
It sounds like you have everything set up properly then. Sometimes when SD cards get towards being full it will start to drop images but it will still generally take them. There aren't any settings that would likely cause this.
If the app isn't recording the image location dots, then pictures are not being taken. That is the best indicator.
It is possible that the camera was in a video or different mode and was not accepting the command to go to photo mode. This has happened a couple of times.
A good way to test whether or not the camera is working properly is to tap with two fingers on the camera preview image. This will draw a image location points (which might be hard to see if the red triangle is over it) and increment the image count.

I get this once every 10 flights on P3P and Matrice 100. It throws up a quick error saying camera execution failed and then flys the mission without taking pictures. This happens with different sd cards as well.
HI - Just wanted to close this as fixed. I find if I reboot the iPad prior to every flight it isn't an issue.
That isn't a real fix, but is certainly a good workaround. Some errors are things that happen due to the state of the aircraft or other apps and how the DJI SDK handles it.
When it happens does it happen with the camera preview up and working?
Hi Ryan - I worked through the issue with Tudor and believe it was resolved. Most likely a result of a bug in the app resulting in a very brief loss of comms before the aircraft reached mission altitude - it would then complete the mission without taking any imagery (as it's supposed to do following a comms loss) - rebooting the iPad after calibration with DJI Go seems to stop the app from having this issue (and yes it's more a workaround than a fix :-) )
