Map Pilot programs the aircraft with waypoints and then the aircraft executes those waypoints so Map Pilot is never actually in control.
The DJI SDK does not have a 'motor kill' command so it isn't possible for Map Pilot to have commanded that. If it was just one motor it like had an obstruction or failed ESC.
Sorry to hear about the incident though, that is never fun.
