DJi Inspire 2 does not interrupt mission when return to home button is pressed

Hello,

I had a flight with the Inspire 2 and i did 3 tests with the return to home function.

Test 1: While in mission i pressed the return to home button on the software and the Inspire 2 interrupted its flight as expected and returned to home

Test 2: While in mission i pressed the return to home button on the remote controller and it did not return as expected. This does not happen when i use the DJi application.

Test 3: While in mission i lost signal with the drone. I was expecting it to interrupt the mission and return home but it did not. After i regain communication i pressed the return to home button on the remote but again it did not return. This is very dangerous as it removes the highest priority from the remote controller. Can you help so that the return to home button on the remote works while doing mapping?

Test 2: It certainly should have. The app can't keep the remote button from working. If you didn't currently have a connection to the drone (light was red) it may not have gotten the signal.

Test 3: The app can't inhibit the RTH button from working. You can set the aircraft to return home when the connection is lost in the DJI Go app. Map Pilot will honor that setting. Generally though the aircraft will continue on the mission and come back to land as programmed or when the battery runs out if the that setting is not made.

Thanks for your response.

To better clarify:
For Test 2: We certainly had connection to the drone. We tried this twice and the button did not interrupt the mission and bring the drone (Inspire2) back

For Test 3: The drone is set to return to home when the communication is lost. It didn't

We repeated Test 2 and Test 3 through the DJI Go app and in both cases the return to home works ok

Unless the Inspire 2 is different in some way (which I doubt) you kind of have to hold the button down for a couple of seconds to get the aircraft to stop and head home.

I would report these issues to DJI to make sure there isn't something wrong with your aircraft.

Maybe we can get some feedback from some other Inspire 2 users but we haven't heard of this happening before.

Just to be thorough... What version of Map Pilot are you using?
