MPP Unable to Find Drone

Hi,

I just updated the Map Pilot Pro app by APK package to version 2.2.3b. I am using a Mavic 3E with the RC Pro Enterprise controller (android based). The issue is that when I load a mission the software is unable to locate the aircraft. no popups appear that state that there is a problem, it just can't find it. The DJI flight controller software functions just fine and will locate the aircraft within a few seconds, and yes I made sure that I properly closed the DJI software before starting MPP. Is it an issue with the version update? did I not install the version correctly? do you have to remove the previous version of MPP before installing a new version?

From the Installation article:

https://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/8160429529876-Installation

  • M3E
  • M3T
  • M3M
  • M30 series
  • Mini 3 series
  • M300/350

For aircraft in this list please follow these instructions: Enterprise and Mini 3 APK Installation

The Enterprise installation instructions tell you download the 'e' variant of the app.

Hi Zane,

Yes, I was originally using the 'e' variant of the software but was unable to load any missions as a prompt kept appearing telling me to upgrade to the latest version, which lead me to install apparently a version of the software that is not compatible with the M3E.

Along with pushing a newer version of MPP to non enterprise drones, was a new version also pushed for enterprise drones and is it correctly linked in the link you shared below?

When there is a new version and we want you to upgrade past a certain version for some reason it will keep you from doing much on the old version. There is a button that says 'Update' that links to the installation page that has the instructions on what version to use. With that remote you are always going to be using the 'e' variant. They all get released at the same time.

Thanks, Zane!

I will reinstall the 'e' variant via APK and hopefully my issue goes away.

Will the 'e' variant clean up the non 'e' variant I installed? or should I manually uninstall MPP before reinstalling it?

The 'b' variant and the 'e' variant are technically separate apps. They can both be on the device at the same time. The 'e' variant has an orange square in the icon so you can tell the difference. You can also delete the 'b' variant before installing the Enterprise version.

Thanks a lot for the help!

I will update the software shortly, I will comment if the update does not fix the issues.

Hi I am having the same issue.  But am unsure where I am in.  I have an Air2 S so I am using the app on Google Play.  I ahve used the program before but it is currently not finding my drone but it is on my other drone apps.  Yes they are all closed before starting

Please post a screenshot of what you are seeing. The app is unable to connect before it successfully registers with DJI. You have to be on the Internet for one of the first times you launch it. It can get weird and out of sync otherwise. You may want to try a different Internet connections to make sure that process will occur without any network rules blocking it.
