What is the MME minimum survey area?

Hi all, what is the minimum survey area that MME can do in order to produce a accurate clear orthomosaic? My thinking is: surveying a building roof space or canopy that is approx 25m each side, and instead of flying manually to obtain the images, use the app instead, but will it work in such a small area?

The minimum area that is able to be defined is a triangle with 25m sides. To get a flight path to show up in that area you probably have to be flying pretty low.

Remember that the clarity of your orthomosaic is directly related to how much overlap you have so make sure you are taking plenty of shots.

Thank You Tudor, iappreciate the swift reply. Does the app not dictate the number of images it obtains as per the flight plan?

ah just realised... selecting Ultra will get the maximum number of images... is that what you mean by trying to get as many pics as possible to process?
thanks

Yep. It all depends on how high you are flying and the overlap that is chosen but the same rules apply for small super high resolution maps and huge low resolution maps.

Thanks Tudor, ill trial some flights out as soon as theres a break in the weather here, it will interesting to see the results, cheers.
On a separate note... i have created a FB page dedicated to MME which is slowly gaining followers and good discussion, if it was endorsed and promoted by yourselves it may encourage more users to use MME , just a thought... thanks again for ur help.

Between email, DJI forums, our support site and our social media accounts we can already barely keep up with all of our different support channels.

We really appreciate what you are doing there but sometimes it is good to have a users only channel without us chiming in all the time. If there are ever any questions that come up there that you would like input on, feel free to tag us to get our attention.

Thanks Tudor and yes i understand the man power and time it must take to manage the support channels, i think i worded my last message incorrectly though with the 'endorsing', what i was thinking was... if a single message to users on this forum and also a Tweet or two from yourselves letting users know there is an active MME community on the FB page, it will bring more of us together to help and advise each other whilst at the same time possibly saving you and your team time answering queries etc, cheers
