Mapping Changing Elevations

I'd like to create a .tif file of a 40 acre property that has a 300 foot elevation gain from one end to another. Is there any way to incorporate this elevation gain in the the flight planner to allow for the drone to adjust its altitude during mapping?

There are a few options using the current release.
1) Manage your take off point so it's near the highest point. accepting you'll get increased overlap and reduced resolution in the lower sections (my preferred). You can manage this a little by adjusting your mission height to lower.
2) Take off from the lower area and ensure your mission height will clear the higher sections and increase the overlap to ensure your higher sections get sufficient overlap. This will give you increased resolution in the higher areas and planned resolution in the lower areas.
3) Fly the area in two or more missions ensuring they overlap, then process as a single job.

We hope to have the terrain following feature available some time in January.

Personally I look forward to this feature as I live in a very hilly area. Currently, it's not simple to map hilly terrain.

As of today version 2.1.0 is available with the Terrain Awareness feature. This feature keeps the aircraft a uniform distance from the ground to keep the GSD and overlap consistent. It enables high quality mapping of areas that are not flat.
