This doesn't actually apply any more as of the firmware that was released in December. Generally though, you don't have to have the Go app up in order to fly. The operations we recommend are opening the DJI Go app so it can check for any hardware or calibration issues, fully close the Go app, then open Map Pilot. You can take off manually with Map Pilot and then load the mission while you are in the air. This is something that was required by DJI previously but not anymore.
